We Can Ride’s herd of 18 highly-trained equines are truly the muscle behind the miracles. Coming from a variety of backgrounds, each gentle giant brings their own unique personality to this work.

Thoroughbred
Beyonce, also formerly a race horse and polo pony, came along with Smooch in 2021.
Billy
Mule
As the only mule on site, Billy has quickly become a favorite since joining us in 2021.
Buck
Quarter Horse
A former rodeo star, Buck was born in 2008 and joined us in 2021. He spends his days with bestie Billy.
Diego
Appaloosa
Our steady Diego joined We Can Ride in 2015. He turns 23 this year!

Connemara
Born in 2001, Fallon joined us in 2019. He is happy to spend his days following Beyonce around.

Rocky Mountain Horse
A former parade horse, Griffin was born in 2003 and has been at We Can Ride since 2017.
Gus
Tennessee Walker
Congrats to Gus, our 2021 Horse of the Year! Born in in 1994, Gus has been with us since 2013.
Jasper
Norwegian Fjord
Our resident elder, Jasper was born in 1991 and has been at We Can Ride since 2003.
Klara
Norwegian Fjord
Born in 2000, Klara joined us in 2019.

Born in in 1997, Kota has been with We Can Ride since 2019.

Born in 1999, Koal joined us in 2017.
McDreamy
Thoroughbred
Former race horse McDreamy was born in 2006. He won almost $50,000 in racing purses before coming to us in 2018.
Mort
Norwegian Fjord
Born in 1999, Mort came to us in 2013, making him one of the longest-serving therapy horses at WCR.

British Riding Pony
Born in 2002, Party brought his fancy moves to us in 2018.
